hiya Neselba

depends really.....for instance white cabbage can most definately be eaten raw but green cabbage tastes a whole lot better cooked, even if its only cooked briefly,This is because they contain more sulphurous compounds, which are removed in the cooking process.which can taste awfull on some palets....try a raw leaf it wont kill you but its not always the best tasting raw vegetable

a good recipe for a tasty coleslaw

coleslaw.....half a grated raw white cabbage

4 grated raw carrots

splash of olive oil

1 onion shredded

tea spoon of english mustard

a dollop of good quality mayo

salt & pepper to season

i was a chef for 17 years any advice i can give foody wise i would more than happy to share
