trusses
hello, everyone,
i'm tes. i just started doing some gardening and am now focused on growing tomatoes. we only have small space for tomatoes and i dont want them to grow too tall.
i heard one way to limit their growth is by cutting off the top leaves after the fourth truss. i don't know exactly what a truss means but from what i've searched, its the stem that holds the bunch of tomatoes. is that right?
how high does a tomato gets before it reaches the fourth truss and should i wait until the plant bears fruit before i cut the tops?
also, how long does it usually takes before a tomato plant bears fruits? from seeds to the first fruit? taking note of the fact that its cherry tomatoes?
thank you
tes
