Ben. I planted 10 Autumn Bliss canes this time last year. Technically I believe I should not have allowed them to fruit, but could not resist temptation. They were lovely and I recommend them. They are starting to shoot through the soil now and I am hopeful for the coming season. I planted them in a raised bed along with my strawberry plants. Then broke the bank and had a fruit case made. There is so much wild life here that this seemed to be a sensible solution.

You can see a picture of this at Gardening From Scratch for Fruit and Vegetables

Also there is a very good tip there for trouble-free strawberry mats. Hope some of this is of help.

Jo.
