Nearly a year on and the walk is back on...
Well I'm sorry to say I've been away from here for a bit, what with a particularly cold winter putting me off going into the garden at all, and looking after my mum throughout the last few months of her illness meaning no time for gardening.
Although we had planned to do the walk last September, due to my mum becoming ill again we had no choice but to postpone things until this spring, and now plan to carry out the walk at the end of May.
Last thursday, my brave mum lost her fight against cancer, and passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was only 51. This is a devastating loss to my family and I, and has given me more reason than ever to rise to the challenge of the coast to coast walk
.
We are aiming to raise £1000 for Ovarian Cancer Action, and are currently almost a third of the way there. But I'm asking people again to think about sponsoring us, to help us reach our target. We will appreciate any donation, no matter how small.
