I've had rats in mine, they dug it all out from under the edges of the bin and made a nice cosy nest in the middle.
Moved the compost bin to another part of the plot and stood it on some wood.
On the bad side it p****d me off, but on the plus side, it gave my comost a mix up.
You could always set a few rat/mouse traps about baited with chocolate (they like that) if you don't mind the idea of killing them.
