I tried insulating my 8x6 with bubblewrap - it looks terrible and the wrap is falling down. I have decided to raid my savings and buy a polycarbonate 8x8 or 8x10 and relocate to one side of the garden inside the duck pen. Then I would relocate the duck pond into the view of the kitchen window.
I am considering buying a cheapie from summergreenhouses.com for about £579 - it has twinwalled polycarbonate glazing and will be sited on my SSW side of the garden. I may even start to grow more than cucumbers and toms in it. I prefer to have soil borders rather than paving as that gives me some leeway in forgetting to water every day.
Has anybody arranged their gutter downpipe to feed into a barrel kept inside the G/H or is that unnecessary? I will fix up a mains electricity supply to it.
I would appreciate any comments, criticism or advice. Practical help would be marvellous if anybody lives near me in Wells!!! lol.
