green fingers is on a distinguished road
Default

My mange tout are all but finnished as are my petit pois and miniature carrots. I have had some lovely lettuces and replanted some seedlings to replace them, they are doing nicely too. Tomatoes are just turning yellow (they are a miniature plum, yellow variety)

I have loads of tiny cucumbers, around an inch long, and little peppers. I have yet to harvest my purple carrots, looking forward to those. And my potatoes grown in a big yellow tub are nearly ready. I Grew them from left over supermarket spuds so wasn't sure how they would do but the signs are good. I have some King Edwards and some marris piper.

I wish I had planted more peas and mini carrots though, didn't realise they would finnish this early, I could have had another crop for later in the year. Something to remember for next year.

In amongst the veg I have marigolds, Dahlias, cone flowers, sweet peas and Fushias all growing really well and in flower.

Overall I am very pleased with the results.
