Default My Allotments Website

Hello, my name is Steve Partridge and I have been invited to join the Vegetable Gardening Forum by Lesley. I have for the last 16 months run a website which I update on a weekly basis, this follows my progress on my two allotments and offers some advice for beginners. I hope that you will enjoy my contributions and hopefully I will gain some knowledge along the way, thanks Steve.

Nice Blog Steve, the plots look great ,

I try to keep mine up to date weekly if possible, I reckon even if no-one else enjoys it, I can use as a good source of reference for myself for next year.

Default Hi Sebbster

Nice site, very useful.

Your cucumbers look fab. Wish mine looked that good. They seem really fat and prickly, not long and smooth like yours. Am I doing something wrong? Also the flesh inside is very white, they taste fresh but not what I would call amazing.

Cheers, Sandra

Probably due to the weather, the 2 inch long cukes have been eaten now so not getting a great crop. They taste fab though the ones I have had from it.

Feed them is all I can recommend, or put comfrey leaves next to the stems for mulch and food.

It all depends on the type of cucumber yuou are growing. With such a big variety its sometimes difficult to find one that will suit you and your climate.

Hi Steve, Another great update, as usual -I wondered where you had been!

I can't load any of your archives. Is that anything to do with your broadband problems?
