Hi all,
Can I stand my compositor on concrete as i don't have any areas of soil available.?
I was just give a bin (Plastic) and I am unsure if it will work standing on concrete.
Many Thanks
Smeag

Hi

I also have a plastic composter but mine is on soil, I'm sure you will be able to compost, but you may get abit of leakage from the bottom. From what i understand its the way you add different materials to your compost.

Last weekend i turned my compost out but noticed my sawdust from hens hadn't broken down enough, for me it's trial and error, I'm sure some one will be along later to give you advice.

Thanks for the response I intended to let it drain away through the bottom anyway but thought I would just ask.
I have downloads some info on getting it started so here we go
