Default Compost bins

Hi all i have finally got all the materials for my compost bins and built them today. My question is in my holding area where i have all of last years leafs i have a very large amount of sycamore leafs can i use these as a brown material or are they to be left out ?

How ofton do i turn my compost bin ?

Leaves take a while to decompose so you can either shred them & put them on your compost pile or put them in black bags, put holes in the bags & let them rot down to leafmould for next year.
