I can't find any information online whether my council does compost bins. Blackpool Borough is the council I'm under.

Also, if they don't, where can I buy the Dalek bins as Lesley mentioned in another thread?

Green Johanna BASIC - Green Johanna Hot Composter

This is the green johanna I mentioned in another post. My daughter bought me one as a moving in present as our council (York) was selling them for about £50. Our council is good at selling cheap compost bins and as my daughter works for York Rotters (see their facebook page!) and encourages people to compost she gets to know all about them.

They are good as you can compost most things, even meat and bones.

I would not invest £50 in one. i would put that aside in the green house piggy bank. I just throw my veg scraps between the rows of veg and dig them in come the autumn time. Meat and bones I bury straight away.
