Have used the large green Plastic compost bins for my composting (300L).... need to get another bin.
I see that many places sell the wooden slatted type and these come in 2 ‘formats’.... Slats with gaps between them ... Buy Slot Down Wooden Composter | Compost Bin | From Webbs Direct or this type without the slats. Treated Wooden Composter | Forest | From Webbs Direct | Online Garden Centre Are both types as good as each other ? .... are they effective composters ... or should I just buy another green plastic 100L bin Slightly confused with these types ... they would do little to keep 'pile' warm, and most scribblings on composting mention to cover with old carpet to keep heat in and rain out. The alternative option could be the ECO King model. Buy Storemore, Eco-King size 400 ltr Composter Green, stmo-627003 The latter 'seems' a good idea, with a 'twin wall' type construction, so should help keep pile warm, and with hinged lid should again keep things warm. However I welcome advice. |

I have been looking at composters etc.
I looked on my local Council site and found these offers. Other Councils are also following this initiative. Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council We are thinking of a medium \thermo King. regards paul and les |
