Question Can I use my used growbag soil for mixing with new compost?

I have lots of compost/soil left over from last years potato's .
I have sieved it and cleaned all the old roots etc from it can I use it to bolster my new compost or should I dump it?.
I have read you can re use it but not for the same vegetables.
You advice would be appreciated .

I agree with johnmichael as this is what i do every year. Try to avoid using it with tomatoes, as they like potatoes have the same diseases and you don't want any to spread!
I also use it to top up my compost bin once I've put other organic matter in. This helps the worms travel through better and also rejuvenates the nutrients that have been lost.

It is Ok, but try to mix them if you do not have any other option. I never mix mine, because I do not any future troubles. The best way is to find some cheap supplier fo compost and you will be fine. Search around for small animal farms in your region, talk to the owner and you will have it all natural.
