Default Growing vegetables in containers on city rooftops

Hi,

I'd like to share something with everyone here.

A few of us who live in the city of Chicago are growing heirloom vegetables on our rooftops in cheap homemade earthboxes. In response to huge environmental problems, it's a small but rewarding way to push back. Also, we think they're a great way to build connections in a fragmented social/political landscape.

I'm not selling anything. Actually, trying to give "it" away.

wow thats pretty impressive crops you have there they must like it up there thanks for sharing that with us thats fascinating and just goes to prove with a little imagination anyone can and everyone should grow their own veg

Thanks for the kind words.

We've got some pretty interesting responses in only a few days. The challenges of growing something without many resources are faced by people worldwide.
