I have just sown a row of radish and mixed lettuce leaves in a container - it seems a shame as I have plenty of garden but now have to buy multipurpose compost.

Default containers are good for sald

We've grown lettuces, spinach, endive in containers with good results. They prefer a shady spot and should be kept watered/moist.
