Default What shall I do with my pepper seedlings?

Hi All

I've got some pepper seedlings growing rapidly in my propagators (mini bell mixed variety). I'm unsure whether they eventually need planting in a growbag or whether some large round containers will work? The destructions on the packet say to transplant the seedlings into 3" pots which is not a problem but I'm pretty sure they'll need moving on from the small pots after a while!

As I'm new to growing anything other than herbs and lettuce I'm not sure what will work best for my little darlings : )

All suggestions gratefully received . . .

I'm just potting on as and when they seem too big for the pot they are in. Here's mine at the moment - a mix of sweet peppers and chilli plants of several varieties. Varying degrees of success. I'm being quite laid back about everything - taking an 'if it grows, great, if it dies off, so be it' at the same time as trying to learn.

I'm also growing peppers for the first time, and have no idea what i'm doing tbh, lol! But like wafflycat, I'm taking a 'suck-it-and-see' approach. Tho I think the golden rule is if the roots are showing out the bottom of the pot it's time to move to a bigger pot.

Also, I'm not sure whether they'll do better in a gro bag, or whether indoors or outside is best, so I'm going to try a few plants in each situation and see what works.

I transplanted my seedlings into 3" pots to start with (as it says on the packet) and put them out in the sun (as it says on the packet) and brought them back into the kitchen after a day as they were burnt to a crisp!! They're still surviving but have crispy ends on most of the leaves. I still have a dozen seedlings in another propagator (don't do things by halves!) and they are doing really well. I've had to take the lid off though as they were trying to break out of it : )

I hope they work but really think it's going to be trial and error.

Although, on the other hand, if they all grow well I might be sick to death of peppers by the end of the year . . .
