Hi all - it's me with my cucumbers again!
My cucumber plants are now about 5-6 inches high and have about 4-5 leaves on. I have just moved some outside into my small greenhouse and some are still inside the house. I have about 10. However, most have now started growing flowers. Surely, the plants are too small to be able to grow cucumbers. This is the first year that I have tried to grow them and I thought that the plants grew quite big before fruiting. Have I left the plants inside and in small pots for too long (I have just put them into 12" pots once they had about 4 leaves). Should I pinch off the flowers or will the plant continue to grow after this lot of flowers. Typically I gave my neighbour a plant and she has done nothing different and her plant is about 18" high - I might ask for it back!! What am I doing wrong? HELP! ![]() Thanks E ![]() |

Sounds like your neighbour bagged the best one!
From what I can gather cucumbers need the same attention as tomatoes in order to flourish, i.e you need to train them to run up canes !Also you need to be careful not to over water (I'm sure you know that anyway!) Good luck! |
