Default How Much Water Do Potatoe's In Bucket's Need ?

Hi Adrian, I wonder too. I have potatoes in pots. They look very healthy and I just water them well between the rain!

Hi Butterfly,

Thanks for your advice.. but the real reason im asking this question is that an experienced & successful gardener of 20 + years who grows Leek's..Onion's & other veg for show, advised me to "start watering when the potatoe's begin to flower"...
which does'nt make a lot of sense to me as i believe all plants need water, hence, i water our potatoes just the same as you Butterfly... i just really wondered if any of the experienced gardeners in this forum shared his views...
