Default chillies in the frost

do chilli plants survive frost or should i put them inside for the winter.

Put them inside, with a little bit of warmth.

Hi Greenfingerbag,
Chillies do not like temps to fall below about 10 degrees, below 5 and in my experiences they have died. I grow some nice chillies and have prepared to overwinter a couple of this years plants. I have simply cut them back, trimmed the root ball a little and put them in a pot that they just fit into. Water once a wk if needed to keep moist (not wet) keep warm and when the spring returns, hopefully they will shoot back to life.
