Default Book recommendations!

Hi folks!
I work in a Supported Housing project (in the UK) and I'm about to embark on a vegetable growing project with some of our residents. I've done a little bit of veg growing before in gardens but need to do something in containers or small raised beds, and I need to read up a bit first.
It seems that Mel Bartholemew's 'Square Foot Gardening' is a pretty classic book, but I wondered if anyone could recommend a book (or two) for container growing? I've had a look on Amazon and there's so many, but funds are really limited hence why I'm seeking some recommendations.
Many thanks
Ruth

Hi Ruth,
The books that i think maybe of some use to you, would be
"The Expert Titles" by Dr. D. G. Hessayon.
They do a complete series including "The container Expert"
I feel that they are well worth a look, good pics and great info.
Hope this helps,,,,,, cheers stupo.

Thumbs up reply

Hi again,
As your funds are limited, try your local "charity shops" you will usually find lots of books about gardening, old and new.

Another idea, might be to ask your local garden centre, to support your "Cause", by way of a "Little" sponsorship?????

You never know???????? hope this helps, cheers stupo.
