Default Early Nantes Carrots

Hiya

I sowed a packet of early nantes carrots just over 2 weeks ago in a large container with mulipurpose compost and I have kept the container in my greenhouse.

Nothing is happening! Not a squeak! Did I do this too early........I live in central Scotland but we have not had frost for a couple of weeks now but it is still a bit cold.

Help!

How deep did you sow them?

Night temps have been low unless you have heating in your greenhouse and I find that carrots can take up to 3 weeks to come through even during April. Give it another week or two. And watch out for snails and slugs.....they love carrot seedlings so put a few pellets down.
