Default can we use plastic mulch in our containers? `

im just wondring...i heard about the wonders of using mulches, like it helps you save moisture when summer and keep too much water out when raining, keeps plants warm and weed free, but im just wondering, is it ok to use plastic mulch in our containers? im thinking that these plastic might hinder good ventilation in the soil thus causing damages to the plants..can sombody help me?

Hi Gevalia,

You can use plastic sheeting as a method of mulch; it comes with tiny holes pricked in it you can ask at your local Garden Centre. It's not aesthetically pleasing though.
