container fruits

Are there any fruits other than tomatoes that can be successfully grown in containers? Ideally I want to get my little boys involved so would prefer something easy that can be planted this month or next.

Any ideas?

I have strawberries and a blueberry bush both in tubs and doing great

Apart from the strawberries and blueberries suggested by Pacey, any of the bush fruits, blackcurrants, red currants etc, will be fine. Of course you could also use patio fruit trees such as apples, pears and cherries.

Olive trees and Cranberries, both are selling off in my local Wilkinson's as I speak. You'd need to plant the cranberries in Ericaceous soil though I believe, also selling in Wilkinson's.

Thanks for the tips, I had better get some late varieties. Time has run away with me once again.
