Firstly can anyone tell me am i doin the right thing growing 'sweet pepper californian wonder' 'tomato moneymaker' and 'cherry tomato cerise' in my green house?
Secondly how do i know when my 'lettuce all year round' are ready, they are getting quite big but dont seem to have a big heart at the mo?? cheers |

Hi Tim, your cherry tomato is a determinate or bush variety for growing outdoors or in a container. All Year Round are a butterhead lettuce and they do have a reasonable size heart. You need to give the middle of the lettuce a gentle squeeze to test how big the heart is and whether you think the lettuce is big enough to harvest. I found that if I waited too long before harvesting that half the lettuce bolted before we could eat them. You need to have more lettuce sown to replace the ones you are about to eat!

IMG_0184.jpg thought id add a couple of pictures of the lettuces ive grown so far, i have another small one growing and some seeds planted that dont seem to be coming through, the big ones which im wondering if they are ready are 12 weeks old now |
