Default what can we do if the seeds we buy grew to something else?

hello everyone,

i have a pressing concern here. 2 months ago i bought a packet of annual flowers which promised me several flowers like calendula, zinnia, sunflower, etc. so i excitedly sowed the seeds and waited...after some weeks only 1 plant survived ( i wasnt very good at flowers) and so i took care of it, guessing each day what kind of flower it is....

when it was 1 month old it looked like a young tomato plant.it even smelled like one.
today it flowered and i researched how a tomato flower looks like, and it really looks like one!

does this mean that im not really good with flowers that even if i sowed flower seeds they eventually become vegetables? or maybe we are dealing with a serious violation of consumer right here?

please help me. i dont mind having this unknown variety of tomato but i really expected that ill have a nice flower amongst my vegetables that will attract bees.

Hi Gevalia, it does happen - sometimes rogue seeds are found in seed packets and quite often you only realise this when a 'strange' plant starts growing. Enjoy the tomatoes!!

Hi Gevalia, I'd like to see those too. Did you continue to grow them? Interesting story though

In the right climate growing mangoes takes no effort or attention at all.
Through my friends I can get all the mangoes I want for free, and then some. But I still grow mango in my own garden, about a dozen different varieties.
Mangoes come in different colours and sizes, have different flavours, and they ripen at slightly different times.
Growing different mango tree varieties keeps things interesting, but most importantly it stretches out the harvest time of this feast or famine fruit. You can eat fresh mango for a few months instead of only a few weeks!
