Default I have some shoots

At last i have some shoots comeing up from the seeds i sowed a few weeks ago, im that happy i thought id post some pics of them lets hope there not weeds the next question is how long do i need to leave them before i pick them!

You should've seen me when I finally got some shoots coming up from my Butternut Squash seeds

Hi Lesley,

the way you can tell a tomato from jst looking at them i thought ud be able to tell what my little shoots are just from sight

There spring onions and corriander my basil hasent decided to grow yet but hopefully now the others have shoots the basil woant be far behind.

i think there already for harvesting now lol might add them to a little salad at the weekend!

Hi Shaun, here's a little snippet of info that you will be able to slip into a conversation on your first photo the two little leaves are 'seed leaves' or cotyledons and as there are two seed leaves the plants are dicotyledonous or dicots. Your spring onions that look like a blade of grass are monocotyledons or monocots as they have just one leaf.

thanks for the info your knowledge of these things is amazing but its good to know there not weeds as they seem to be the things i can grow in abundance
