Default carrots

hey, sorry its been a while since my last question ive been stuck in a hospital bed for 4 days

my foliage on the first carrots i planted is going over, its all wilty and droopy, does that mean they are ready to harvest??

Hiya Tim, gosh I hope you are feeling okay now!

Carrot foliage doesn't droop when the carrots are ready to harvest but it can be a sign of water shortage or insect damage. So, what colour are the leaves, when did you sow the carrots and do you know the variety??

hi lesley, im on the mend thanks, ive just got to rest up for another week, my mum sisters and girlfriend have just been round doing a load of repotting for me bless them as it just takes too much out of me

the carrots are early nantes and they were planted in early march so i think they should b well on their way? the foliage is normal colour its just a bit droopy really

Right then Tim, the best thing is to pull up a carrot and see what the growth is like - hopefully carrots for tea tomorrow!!
