Default Manure?

Have some horses in a field next to me, can i use the manure on my raised beds now, throw it on straight away?

you want to wait until the manure has rotted down (a few months).

Whats the difference between just throwing the manure in now to leaving it afew months then throwing it in? Theres nothing in the raised beds by the way.
