Default Indoor container garden

I have maintained an indoor hydroponic garden during the winter months for several years to provide fresh greens, herbs and flowers. This year I decided to build an enclosure around my indoor garden. It has made a huge difference in the rate of growth, as the plants in the photo have been growing for less than four weeks. I just wish I thought of doing this a few years ago.

For leaf vegetables I use T5 fluorescent tubes, 6500K.

I was at about to make my own indood garden, but I was just busy with many other tasks. Now, I deeply regret, but I would be more than happier if you post here a few tips which will help not only me. Thank you and looking forwards for your share with this great community.

I have been gardening indoors for several years, and love it.

I am pretty tight fisted myself, so I keep it simple. I estimate the T5 lights running 12 hours a day might add ten dollars to the electric bill a month. On the other hand, I grow more than ten dollars a month's worth of salad greens. In the winter they run about four dollars for six ounces and one system yields close to two pounds a month. And, I know that no nasty chemicals were sprayed on them.
