Default yellow leaf on potatoes

first time planting and based on what i read on here i got some wrong info from b&q ,we filled the containers to the top and planted about 2 weeks ago, we have good leaf growth on the plants but noticed last night a yellow tinge round outside edge of some leaf ,then noticed this morning it was minus 1 ,could this be frost damage or perhaps over watering regards sandy

Sandy, did you apply any feed, i.m thinking of hunger as opposed to water? What soil/compost are you using ?

with mine, I used multi purpose compost from B&Q and then added some potato feed pellets - but I didn't really measure it, I just sprinkled some over the soil before a earthed then up when the container was about a third full and then when it was about half full. Could I have added too much feed to have caused the yellowing?

This could have a number of possible causes, but probably not overfeeding, can you post a photo,

it could also be luck of deficieny of magnesium ,so u need a good compost, if you had heavy rain that can also be the problem, it can also be an indication of problems to come. epsom salt can be your best friend here
