hi all ,, im new to veg growing and have planted seeds o allsorts , most have grown well but i have spring onions planted in a wooden wine box . the problem is that i put the whole packet in and they seem overcrowded and are close together, i do have a raised bed and was wondering if i could transplant the young plants to the raised bed from the wine box or just leave them.

You're fine to transplant them, I always start spring onions in one of my makeshift pots (I think it once had chicken kievs in) and then move them to the allotment properly spaced. Just take them out of where they've germinated and separate them into individual plants, then pop them into the raised bed about 2 or 3 inches apart and about an inch deep. You should expect them to flop over and look rubbish to start with but they'll revive with a regular watering
