Smile bush tomato

i picked my first bush tomato when it looked like it would split . i added a picture of the tomato to this post . my question is does this scar on the tomato indicate a problem such as too little water or fertilizer or is it a disease or whatever ? the tomato is about 5 cm in diameter . other tomatoes on the plant are a bit larger and seem to be forming ok. thanks for any help .
also if i have put this question in the wrong forum please tell me .

This can be cause by infrequent watering. If tomatoes dry out to much then get watered the fruits will tend to split.

Yes agree with Paul. This is a classic sign of irregular watering. Try and keep the plants moist, but not soaked, at all times. Do not let them dry out.

Hi Vikto, a big problem when growing tomatoes outdoors is the rain, as a heavy downpour can also split the fruits.

You have to love the challenges of growing in the british climate! Plus i live right on the coast, which has its own micro climate!
