Default has anyone tried gowing wheat or rice?

Hello!

Im back to gardening, and I'm staying for good!

last year i had so much fun with my fruiting and rooting vegetables ( did i use the right term?) and this time Im so obsessed with cereals! I've never seen a single wheat stalk, and one of my ambitions in life is to see a wheat field ready for harvest. since i dont think seeing a wheat field is possible at the moment i will have to settle for a single wheat plant with golden grains.

since i have no garden I'm still planting them in my ever magical pots!

i planted wheat ( wheat is not grown in the Philippines because of our climate; Filipinos only grow rice). its been 2 months, and i think i'm doing a good job so far!

My wheat is now on it's booting stage ( where you'd see that the stalk is swollen, ready to produce the wheat ears). I'm so sorry that i only planted 1 wheat, if something goes wrong with this one i will have to start from the beginning.

i'm still not sure if this is gonna work. does anyone here have any experience in planting wheat? ( i planted spring wheat because they dont need to undergo vernalization).

any tips please?
