Default Plum and Greenage trees

Hi chaps and chapettes,

Wondering if anyone could give me a bit of reassurance/advice on some plum and greengage saplings that I recently planted in pots about a week ago.

We got them free from a friend who has his own smallholding and lots of massive old fruit trees. He tried to include as many roots as possible but since they were offshoots from the huge trees they didn't have many.

They are about 4ft tall but pretty twiggy, and had a handful of leaves when we potted them up - in big plastic pots, about 50-60L I think?

We watered them in well and they've had a little feed of 'multi purpose plant food' mixed in with the water, plus all the rain we've been having!

They're looking pretty pathetic though, with all the existing leaves dried up, although the branches still feel flexible so presumably not dead yet.

Reckon they'll make it after they've gotten over the whole ordeal? Any tips or things I should watch out for?

With proper control on insects and disease, fertilizing, watering and regularly pruning the trees, you can grow palm and greenage tree easily. You can add bonemeal fertilizer around the tree in the fall and water during dry spells throughout the fall and winter.
