What to do with all the compost?

Ok my fellow container growing buddies - what do you do with all the compost from the containers at the end of the growing season? We just bought a compost bin thinking we could stick in there Along with veggie peelings and spent plants, but just read up on composting and apparently not.

keep it in bags, add your home made compost (this isn't the same 'compost' you buy) and fertiliser to it next year and re-use. but try to avoid using the soil for the same crop. if you kept the soil from tatties, root crops, brasicas and legumes seperate you could do a four year rotation like you would with a normal plot.

I reused mine last year in my baskets and containers with excellent results. Just added Chicken Manure and slow release fertiliser granules. Make sure you have no Mealy bugs in it.
