sorry vorwerk, don't have enough time in the day, I want a square container about 12 inches square for spring bulbs etc., tete tete, crocus, and other spring bulbs, so it needs to be deep as well, any ideas please?

I bought my containers this year from Tesco. They cost about £1.50 and I think the square ones were about £2.30. How deep do they need to be?

Did you try B&Q or Homebase, they still have a fairly good supply. Also a lot of the £ shops sometimes stock them.

Default For any new members looking at this

I find ebay great for pots. I do a search filtered by 10 or 15 miles away from my home. You can even add this as a favourite search so you get updated by e-mail of any coming up for sale.
You will find people selling them used and really cheap and instead of paying postage you can often pick them up.

I have recently bought 18 large plastic planters for a princely sum of £2.70

It is even environmentally friendly too

Default buy from your local pound store

We bought ours from our local poundstore. Can't quite beat the ebay prices but £1 per container isn't to bad and it's a one time investment for years of reward.

We bought different sizes and depths as some veg need deeper containers.
