Talking To say hi!!

Hi everyone,

I'm new so thought i'd introduce myself before i start asking questions.
I am a single mum aged 27 and live in Bedfordshire.

I have always had houseplants which seem to thrive and would now like to start growing vegetables. Unfortunately i have more of a yard than a garden, it's all concrete except for a small flowerbed containing a mixture of old car parts and broken glass (courtesy of previous tenants) so don't fancy sticking my hands in there to plant anything!

I'll be growing everything in containers, and probably from seed. I can't wait to start!

Helen

Hello Helen, I do all my veggie growing in containers, I feel I have more control over weeds, nasties, etc., what do you think you will be growing?

Well i've just been sent a Dobies catalogue so have been looking through it and marking off loads of things!

Dwarf french beans, Broccoli calabrese, Cabbage, Courgette, Cucumber, Mixed salad leaves, Spring onions, Lettuce, Carrot, cauliflower, sweetcorn, Potatoes Strawberries, tomatoes, blueberries, gooseberries, raspberries, kiwis, peppers, chillis, radishes, onions, peas.

I hadn't realise how much i was planning on growing!

I'd have liked to grow from seed but don't have room for a green house so i doubt i'll be able to.
