Soaker hose

Hi there!
Do I need to dig rows with furrows when using a soaker hose (the one with all of the little holes in it) watering system? or can I just plant the vegetable seedlings in rows in the flat soil?

I don't, I just lay it in front of the bed or where I want to water, I'm not sure of what part of the world you are from but in the £1 shops they are just that, and perfect for the lazy gardener like me.

I live in spain. My friend bought it for me a couple of years ago, not sure where. I've never used it before.
