Question Raspberries cane planting

Hello, anyone help?

I am new to fruit & veg growing only starting this year. I am still developing my plot but ordered lots of plants through Thompson & Morgen. Asparagus came and is in ok. Trouble is the raspberry canes have come and i'm not ready for them. Still digging the area where i want to put them. What can i do with the canes in the meantime? Can i leave them unplanted for a week or should i plant and then move them? Do i plant in the greenhouse or in the plot somewhere?

Someone please help!

Cheers

Hi Biljasp and welcome!! The raspberry canes are dormant at this time of the year so they will be fine. I would just dig a hole on the plot and heel them in on a temporary basis until the area you have set aside for them is ready.
