Hi Bud,
I have just put my shallots in this morning. The sun has been out for a couple of days and the ground here is pretty warm. I don't know what the tempreture needs to be, but I planted this time last year and they grew extremely well. I just put a fine dusting of compost over the crop and some netting for added protection. Hope that helps Paul |

they are fine to go straight in the ground now, mine are already grwoing. speed them up by planting into pots in a greehouse and then transplanting - they transplant very easily. or plant them in the ground and cloche them.
