Allotments in Aberdare

Does anyone know where there's available allotments in Aberdare? I put my name down last year for an allotment by the sports center & for one behind the police houses but I guess my name hasn't come up. I've got lots of veg growing but no where to put them. I did have a plan but it's gone wrong. Anyone know of any?

Have you checked with your local authority as to where you are on their waiting list and if you'd be considered for one a bit further afield but still in the overall local authority area?

I hadn't thought about doing that but TBH when I contacted him about putting me on the list he wasn't very nice. He ask for my contact details which I gave him but said I'm out a lot so advised him what time would be best to ring. He just said that we only ring you once & if you don't answer then it goes to someone else. I have thought further afield but they're all council owned. I might give them a buzz again though, hopefully might speak to someone more helpful. Otherwise there's lots of tomatoe, cucumber & alsort of plants that need new homes.
