Smile It's happened

My name has come up with the council & I've now got my allotment. Ok it is a bit further than I was hoping to travel but it is in such a lovely place even if I get a chance of having one nearer home I may not bother moving. My lettuce have now got room to breath, my onions have got a room to grow & all the veg I was worried about because of lack of room are already being moved up to the allotment. I only saw the site yesterday afternoon. There was a message on my answer machine. Went up to see it & rung the council fella to say yes & 20 minutes later I was holding the keys & could start. I thought I'd have to fill in forms but thankfully there wasn't any delay. Already done quite a bit up there just going to pop down tonight to do some small odd jobs but it is coming along nicely. Thinking of planting some small fruit plants but not sure what yet. Anyhow thought I'd share my good news. Anyone waiting for an allotment don't give up.

Good luck and your patience has paid off. Well done and welcome to the hord of dirty finger nailed soil grubbers. (I speak for myself)
