Default plant problems

hello to all ,just started an allotment this year , it had been left overgrown for about 3 years. dug over about two thirds of it and got some veggies in. the problem is the runner beans, dwarf beans, cabbage, cauliflower, spinach seem to have dry leaves, yellowing leaves, basically seem to be struggling.they were transplanted from seedlings where they were thriving.some of the runners are starting to climb even though the bottom leaves died out completely. hopefully there is a simple reason for this.all help greatly appreciated

Have you watered them well enough? It's always good to do a ph test on your plot too.

A PH test would be good, so you will know what you will need to add to your soil. If the leaves were all yellowing I would suggest a good multipurpose feed, perhaps the plants just had a set back after transplanting - it does happen. As a general rule I add lime, bonemeal and add an organic pelleted slow release fertiliser to all my beds as I get them ready for planting, I also liquid feed on a regular basis.
