Default Do root vegetables require lots of water.

HI there

Can anyone help on this one. Ive had 2 conflicting stories that root veg like carrots, potatoes and parsnips dont require lots of water as thats how they grow underneath by looking for water. Another story is potatoes need lots of water as that what they mostly are.

Can I have people views please. thanks

Basically, you don`t water the likes of carrots and parsnips. As for spuds, you should make sure they are kept moist at all times. If you start watering after a period of drought you could end up with split tubers.
