Default Courgette - growing guidance

Hi,

I have a healthy and large courgette plant - lots of leaves, strong stem however I have no fruit developing on the plant. I have had around 5 wonderful flowers appear on the plant over the last few weeks but they drop off after a couple of days. I read somewhere that if there was no pollunation then I should put a male flowers against a female flower to encourage germination, however all the flowers have been singletons and I have not had them flower together.

Could anyone advise - last year I had courgettes developing but the slugs got them, no slugs this year but no fruits either.

Many thanks - Chopin
