Hi all .
This is just my second post and hopefully it will be of use to someone. Took over my allotment this year and found we are overrun with pigeons and other vermine. Tried a couple of of flimsy nets of Ebay but they were worse than useless. We had the builders in and they erected scaffolding and surrounded it will some netting. When they went home I climbed up and had a look at it. Just the job, perfect! Immensely strong and with a very close mesh. Had a search on Google and purchased some rubble mesh in green. Scaffolding Direct Size is 3 mtrs x 50mtrs, £29.95 with £11. postage, total was £44.14 and was delivered 2 days later. When I recieved it I was amazed at how strong it was and I believe it has a 3 year guarantee too. Been using it this year and have erected a netting frame some 25ft. wide by about 40 ft long and is high enough to get inside if I stoop a little. The mesh is close enough even to keep out flys and slugs etc. and I still have some left over. Believe me I am well chuffed with it as I know it mill last me many years and not break down. Another bonus is that it does not stop the light and sun readily filters through, heavy rain is softened and just drips through gently and another bonus is that it is strong enough to withstand heavy winds and actually breaks the winds down to a gentle breeze. Several people up our allotments have also purchased this product and comment on how good it is. For posts I purchased some of these.. Garden Fence Supplier, Fencing, Fence and Timber Supplies | Grangewood Fencing Supplies Ltd Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=1&Category_Code=3RND I am sure you will have a supplier in your area. Hope this helps. Wingchun |

the biulders netting can be very good. how ever I used some a couple of years ago and found that over my cabbage the white fly could get though and play havoc but it stopped the predators getting in. so its for and against. I would use it now more for shading or a wind break. good luck to all.
