Default New Plot - Clearing Advice

Hi,

I got my plot at the end of last year and am about to set about clearing it. I thought it would be pretty straightforward but have had some conflicting advice. Is it best to clear the whole lot and cover it,or do it a bed/small area at a time? Or does it not make a whole lot of difference?

Good evening Forkbeard and welcome to the site. I would say that the more you can cultivate, the more you can grow. Don`t just cut the weeds down, dig the plot over and get the weeds out.

It depends how soon you want to get growing. You should do the best job you can with digging out every scrap of perenial weed you can find. It takes longer but saves so much in the long run.

Its best to attack it bit by bit so you could potentially cover areas with cardboard or something to keep down the weeds until you get to them.
