Default onion question

Hi all
I planted about 30 red onion sets back in mid March all seem to be doing well however as the leaves have reached about 8 to 10 inches they are bending or falling over putting a kink in the leaf. Do I need to do anything. Secondly there seems to be no development or growth of the bulb at this stage is this normal.

Any advice graetly recieved

Hi Turnip, I think you will find that it is the unusually cold weather that we have had that has slowed down the onion bulb growth as both very cold weather and very hot weather stops the bulb formation. Onion leaves do tend to bend and kink - are the leaves green or turning yellow?
