Default Yay Carrots

Just been for a quick looksie at the allotment, seems i now have baby carrots. YAY! Never managed to get them to germinate from direct sowing before.

Problem is I put in about 5000 seeds expecting a less than average turn out... how wrong was I. I fully expect to be on my knees this weekend thinnign them out. The Joys.

Don`t thin them out yet, grow them all until they are big enough to use as baby carrots.

even if there are billions of them? won't the lack of space restrict growth?

Oh, the joy of sowing tiny carrot seeds! It reminds me of the very first time I grew carrots. The row was only a few feet long and it took an entire packet of seeds!! But I flatly refused to thin the row out, because I think it's a waste - like David said. Okay, I didn't grow big carrots but they tasted lovely!!
