Bed Sizes advice

I have finally cleared my half plot and will be digging it over this weekend.

I was wondering what are the best sizes for the veg patches?

I prefer 1 m (3.3 ft) wide and 2 m (6.6 ft) long raised beds. Using this size I can easily reach the middle of the bed from the pathways. I prefer 0.5 m (20 inch) wide paths.
Others prefer 1.2 m (4 ft) wide beds but I get too tired in my back if I use this size.
